UNION創立は1996年。
LASBLでも歴史のあるチームの一つである。
チーム名であるUNIONの由来は
当時流行っていたファションブランド
「Union」から来ているとのこと。
「組合」とか「組織」とかいう意味は一切ない。
設立当時のメンバーはかなりの曲者ぞろいで、
ドタキャン、遅刻なんかは当たり前。
奇襲や破壊行為、試合中の草むしりなんかも
日常茶飯事だった。
創成期からの生え抜きに
天下一品の野次飛ばし担当#44 TAKAHIKOがおり、
数年後２代目監督に就任する#49 MATSUSHITAが
２０００年中頃にUNIONに顔を出し始める。

UNION was founded in 1996.
UNION is one of the teams with a long history in LASBL.
The origin of the team name "UNION" is come from
the fashion brand "Union" that was popular at that time.
It doesn't mean worker's group "union".
1st CAPTAIN / MANAGER was MAKOTO.
When the UNION was founded,
many players often canceled at the last minute
just before games or came late for games.

MATSUSHITA
2002年の年末にしめやかに行われた忘年会の席で
日ごろのあまりのチームメートの
ちゃらんぽらん(死語)さに
業を煮やした初代監督MAKOTOが
まさかの監督辞意表明。
場が凍りつき、
後釜に立候補するものもいなく
このまま解散を余儀なくされたUNIONを見かねて
思わずMATSUSHITAが
「5番サードをやらせてくれるなら！」
と挙手をしてしまい
野球"未経験者"である
MATSUSHITA監督政権がスタートする。
【遅刻は許さん！】をモットーの
MATSUSHITA政権下でも
人数不足で不戦敗したり、20点差で負けたり、
年間勝率1位のクセにプレーオフで4位になったりと
苦労の耐えない日々だった。
MATSUSHITA政権時の加入者に現在所属の
#7 EIJI、#8 NAKAI、#17 MARC、
#18 SOSHI、#75 KANEMOTOがいる
In the end of 2002, MAKOTO mentioned about
he wanted to quit MANAGER because MAKOTO was really tired of lazy UNION players.
When he mentioned about that, everybody froze.
But nobody wanted be a new MANAGER.
"UNION was in danger of disbanding"
At that time, Matsushita who never had experienced basebal in his whole life at any baseball clubs or academies raised a his hand...
As a result, MATSUSHITA became a 2nd MANAGER.
According MATSUSHITA,
it seemed, those days were unbearable with
losing games due to lack of players,
losing a game by 20 points,
beeing 4th places in the playoff even though
UNION became the 1st place in the season devision, and so on.

2003年にMATSUSHITA監督政権中に入団してきた
＃8 NAKAIが事実上のゲーム監督業を行っていたが、
NAKAIは当時、海外出張が多く、
毎週UNIONの試合に来れる状況ではなかった。
しかし数年後、NAKAIの出張が落ち着き,
試合に参加できる日数が増えてきたと同時に、
MATSUSHITAが第２子誕生などにより
育児が多忙を迎え、UNIONへの参加が難しくなる。
このような背景から、NAKAIがとうとう裏監督から
3代目監督として正式に就任する。
また、NAKAIが以前アトランタ出張の際に
元UNIONメンバーが所属するチームの試合に
ヘルプで出場した際に、
後の3代目キャップテンとなるMANABUと出会う。
MANABUはLA出張の際に、LASBL所属の他のチームで
ヘルプ出場していた経緯があったが、
MANABUがLAに転勤が決まると
NAKAI、MATSUSHITAと面談を行い、
正式にUNIONに加入し、3代目キャップテンを就任。
キャップテンとして監督NAKAIを陰からサポートした。
その当時の加入者に現在所属の
＃11 TAK、＃32 MASAがいる
After #8 NAKAI joined UNION, he'd managed UNION games as an assistant manager because MATSUSHITA was not an enough experienced baseball manager.
But NAKAI had a lot of overseas business trips at that time so he could not make many UNION games.
However, NAKAI's business trip has settled down, he could make most games.
But then, MATSUSHITA got busy because his 2nd son was born.
So, The shadow manager NAKAI finally became a 3rd manager of UNION officially.
Also, when NAKAI was on a business trip to Atlanta, he met the later 3rd captain MANABU.
MANABU had played another team belonging to LASBL when he was on a business trip to LA but when he was decided to transfer to LA, he joins UNION and became a 3rd captain oddicially after having an interview with NAKAI and MATSUSHITA.

2016年新年が過ぎた頃、
３代目監督のNAKAI、２代目監督のMATSUSHITA、
会計担当のEIJI、MINEの運営幹部４人より
突如呼び出されたTAK。
度重なる寝坊、遅刻、バックれに加え、
ちゃんと時間通りに試合に来たと思ったら
エラー連発するわで、
当時監督のNAKAIより
冗談抜きのマジ説教され、無視され始めており、
いよいよクビ宣告されると覚悟を決め、
恐る恐る指定された場所に向かう。
ビクビクしながら話を聞いたところ、
#8 NAKAIがLASBL役員の仕事を２年間担当することになり、UNIONの監督業と平行して出来ない。
また、3代目キャップテンMANABUが
ニュージーランドに転勤という理由により、
第４代目UNION監督になれと運営幹部より話をされる。
こうしてどうしようもない人間に責任感を持たせる為の
UNION４代目監督/キャップテンTAKが誕生した。
その当時の加入者に現在所属する
#10 YAGIHASHI #31 TURNERがいる。

After 2016 New Year's Day, TAK was suddenly summoned by 3rd manager NAKAI, 2nd manager MATSUSHITA, UNION accountants EIJI and MINE.
Tak thought he was finally fired UNION because he got overslept then didn't come show games many times.
Even though he showed up games, he made many mistakes and errors.
3rd manager NAKAI sermoned without any joking, also started to ignoring TAK.
TAK went to meetup place with feeling fear.
When TAK met them, they asked him to be a new manager and captain officially because NAKAI needed to work for LASBL as a web editor until end of 2018.
NAKAI could not work for both UNION management and LASBL web management.
This is how the hopeless player TAK became a
4th UNION manager and captain.

2016年から2018年の二年間の後、
３代目監督NAKAIのLASBL役員期間が終了したため
TAKは監督業をNAKAIに返上しようとしたが、
「そのままやり続けろ」と言われ
４代目監督を続投することとなる。
新規加入者が増えたので
ユニフォームを追加注文しに行くが
メーカーが既存ユニフォームを生産中止にした為、
今までと同じユニフォームが作れなくなってしまう。
それにより新ユニフォーム制作委員会を立ち上げ
2019年シーズンの後半に新ユニフォーム完成させ
チームとして一歩前進させる。
さらに、新ユニフォーム作成に伴い
UNIONのウェブサイト、並びに
YouTubeチャンネルも公開した。
翌2020年、新ユニフォームに袖を通し、
新たなる気持ちでシーズンを迎えたが、
世界中がCOVID-19の渦に巻き込まれ、
2020年シーズンは３試合のみで３月中旬に閉幕。
４月より他チームと自主的な合同練習に励むも
警察やパークレンジャーから球場より
追い返される日々を過ごした。
しかし諦める事なく有志で練習を続け
モチベーションを保ち、
2021年夏にはハーフシーズンではあるが
LASBLのリーグ戦が開幕した際には
上位6チームが集うプレーオフに進出した。
コロナ過前の加入者に現在在籍中の
#20 KUMASHIROがいる。
2021年ハーフシーズン終了後には新たに
#29 YANAGISAWA と
#36 MARUYAMAが加入した。

After 2018 season, TAK tried to give back UNION manager job to NAKAI but NAKAI said "Keep doing" so TAK continued.
TAK tried to order additional jerseys because UNION got some new players.
But the manufacturer discontinued the old UNION jersey so he decided to make new desined jersey.
could not order anymore.
End of 2019, new UNION jerseys were comig.
TAK also created and opened this website and YouTube channel so we had a fresh start for 2020 season.
Unfortunatelly, we had just 3 games in 2020 due to COVID-19.
The 2020 season ends in mid-March.
From April, some UNION players tried to start practicing with some players who are belonging other teams. We, UNION didn't give up.
And then, LASBL finally re-openrd 2021 summer time as half season.
UNION advanced to the top 6 teams playoffs.

2019年に新ユニフォームを作成して以来、
コロナの影響で先延ばしにしていた新帽子の作成に
2021年シーズン終了時から取り掛かる。
帽子のロゴを一新し、2021年の年末前に完成。
時を同じくして、2021年シーズン終了時に加入の
新規プレーヤー用に
ユニフォームを追加注文しようとするも
３年前と同じ理由により、またもや全く同じ
ユニフォームが作れなくなってしまう。
今後、二度とメーカーの都合により
追加注文ができないという状況をなくすため、
従来のユニフォームとは全く違う製造方法により
新デザインのユニフォームを完成させる。
新ユニフォーム作成に伴い
UNIONのチームロゴも一新した。
2022年開幕前には
サンディエゴのチームとも交流試合をし、
ユニフォーム完成後のオープン戦2試合とも
打線が爆発するなど最高のモチベーションで
2022年シーズン開幕を迎え
第一試合、第二試合にて開幕２連勝した。
2023年以降の加入者に
＃15 INDIE、＃26 SHUNSUKE、
＃46 TSURUTANIがおり、
マネージャーとして＃12 RINAが加入した。
また、2023年シーズンより
我々のリーグLASBLを盛り上げたい
という意気込みを抱き、
＃10 YAGIHASHIがLASBLの会長職に就任した。
現在UNIONは、一草野球チームとして、
また一草野球リーグのTOPを擁するチームとして
アメリカ、南カリフォルニアの
草野球界を盛り上げようとしている最中である。

Since creating the new Jersey in 2019, creating new UNION hats project was stopped due to the Covid-19 situation but re-started it and created UNION new hats with new logo before end of the 2021.
Around the same time, TAK tried to order additional jersey for new players joining at the end of the 2021 season but TAK could not order exactly the same jersey for them again with the same reasons as 3 years ago.
So, TAK completed a cool new design jersey with a completely different manufacturing method from conventional jersey for avoiding having the same problem to make jerseys for new players in the future.
Along with the creation of the new uniform, the UNION team logo has also been renewed.
Before the opening of 2022, UNION had a scrimage with a team from San Diego.
In 2023 season, we have new players #15 INDIE,
#26 SHUNSUKE and #46 There is TSURUTANI.
#75 KANEMOTO came back from
Non-Active-Men Member List.
#12 RINA also joined UNION as a scorer.
In addition, #10 YAGIHASHI was appointed as the chairman of LASBL with the enthusiasm to liven up our league.
Currently, UNION is in the process of boosting the NANSHIKI BASEBALL scene as one of baseball teams, also as one of teams with having a huge Japanese NANSHIKI baseball league chairman in LA.
